This weekend the CEV Buckler Championship sees its first visit in history at the Circuit of Navarra, expanding the CEV Buckler catalog of circuits and continuing to raise the level of this international event to one of the best in the world.

The official qualifying day has been marked by continuous changes in weather conditions typical for that of the spring here in northern Spain, thus providing a greater degree of uncertainty to the competitive categories that make up the contest.

Spaniard Alex Márquez was fastest in the Moto3TM category, showing that his ability to adapt to the changing track would successfully win him pole position, his first for 2012. Italian Francesco Bagnaia finished second, just ahead of the Briton Fraser Rogers, to complete the front row for the race.

Moto2TM sees a grid lineup with Spaniard Alejandro Mariñelarena on pole in his second race in this category just half a second ahead of ex-world class riders Jordi Torres and Santiago Hernandez, to complete the front three.

The pole in Stock Extreme goes to 2010 Champion, Xavi Forés more than seven-tenths of a second faster than last year’s runner up Santiago Barragán. Adrián Bonastre, pole setter at Jerez, completes the front line of grid in third.

Hugo Martínez takes pole in the Kawasaki Ninja Cup ahead of Julio Palao and Miguel Poyatos. However the fastest rider overall was andorran Oliver Habib, who was penalized four places for excessive speed in the pit-lane, demoting him from pole to fifth for the start.
